I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating a variety of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism and OCD. Supporting young people and their families has always been at the heart of my work. I am committed to providing compassionate, collaborative, and culturally responsive mental health care. Having grown up and trained in Boston, I am proud to serve the community that is my home. Creating a space where you feel heard, safe, and supported is critical to my practice. I have a collaborative approach to therapy, using principles of self-compassion, cognitive reframing, identity exploration, and mindfulness throughout my work. In therapy, we will work towards self-awareness, create concrete action steps for emotional, cognitive, and behavioral change, and reduce the power of the internal critic. I have worked for over 9 years in college counseling. I have specialized in trauma-informed care, EMDR, dialectical behavioral therapy, and solution focused therapy. I enjoy working with individuals who identify as BIPOC, LGBQIA+, nonbinary, and first gen. I have also worked closely with the Tufts University Asian American Center, collaborating on programming and training to reduce the stigma associated with accessing mental health support.
I invite couples, adolescents and adults to identify strengths, acknowledge challenges and develop strategies to solve a range of problems. We can explore ways to save and enhance your relationship. In the first session, I teach tools that you can use immediately to enhance your partnership, open the lines of communication and reconnect as a couple. If you are an overwhelmed parent, I can help you reach out to your teen by employing techniques that can be used in the moment. My professional experience encompasses coping with anxiety, managing chronic illness, grieving losses and achieving balance for an enriched life. My therapeutic approach is client-centered, reality-based and solution- focused. I also provide psychodynamic insight-oriented therapy if a more in depth exploration of issues is requested. My experience and training include relationship issues, crises related to life transitions, developmental stages, adolescent concerns, couples issues, PTSD, chronic illness, and loss. I am in a small group practice at Solutions for Living. We work within a relationship based model that emphasizes strengths, supports self care planning, encourages mindfulness and incorporates stress reduction. We also remain well informed with regard to evidence based techniques, proven theories and research.

I have been a social worker for over 10 years. I graduated from Boston College and am an LICSW in Massachusetts. I am licensed in other states as well, and I have several years of experience in crisis counseling and helping people manage anxiety and depression. I believe in active listening. I am certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist. In this approach, we get to know the different parts of you — the ones that may overfunction, strive for perfection, people-please, worry, or carry painful emotions. Rather than judging those parts, we learn to understand them with curiosity and compassion. Therapy can be a space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening internally, and help your system feel more balanced and connected. If faith or spirituality is important to you, we can absolutely incorporate that into our sessions. And if it’s not, that’s perfectly okay too.
I believe the role of a therapist is to be more than a reflective and empathetic companion in the client’s journey and must also incorporate directive approaches in order to alternate between being a companion and being a leader on that journey. Inherent in this belief is that clients are coming to therapy because they want something different than what they currently have. This can be as simple as a new perspective on a past or current struggle or as complex as a new skill set for managing and overcoming emotional, behavioral, cognitive, relational, or somatic patterns that have arisen in response to emotional distress. My theoretical orientation is rooted in Systems Theory and I utilize interventions from Family Systems Therapy, Internal Family Systems, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, ARC, as well as Somatic and Mindfulness based psychotherapies. I have over 15 years of clinical experience working with adolescents, college students, adults, couples, and families. My experience has shown that change is typically hard work and often requires compassionate and collaborative support in order to build new skills. I have experience working in PHP and IOP levels of care with adults and adolescents in eating disorder treatment. More specifically, I provided individual sessions, family sessions, treatment planning, referrals, collateral calls, as needed. Additionally, I have worked in college counseling programs to provide individual therapy in a short term model.
