Therapists for college students near Boston College
I support adolescents, college students, and young adults, struggling with eating disorders and disordered eating, including concerns that often co-occur such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and self-harm. I aim to provide a collaborative and compassionate space where clients feel supported as they face challenges and better understand themselves. I believe clients come to therapy with an inner wisdom, and my role is to help them access that insight so they can live more authentically. I have extensive experience working with eating disorders and meet clients where they are to support recovery at their own pace. I offer a nonjudgmental, collaborative space to explore how eating disorders, self-harm, and other coping behaviors may have helped you get through difficult times. We move at a pace that aligns with your goals while gently challenging and building understanding and supporting small, values-based steps towards change. Reaching out for therapy takes a great deal of courage. My goal is to explore what change might look like for you, at your pace. I place strong value on the therapeutic relationship and invite you to schedule a consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
When everything feels like too much, therapy shouldn’t add to the pressure. I'm a liberatory therapist working with kids and adults facing life transitions and overwhelm. I don’t believe in forcing people to fit systems that weren’t built for them. Instead, I center you—your needs, your truth, and your pace. Using humanistic and cognitive approaches, I offer a grounded space where we can explore what’s hard, celebrate your strengths, and move toward a more authentic sense of self. With compassion, humor, and curiosity, we’ll challenge the stories that are holding you back—and build new ones that feel like yours.

I have been a therapist for 20+ years and most of those years have been working with college students on college campuses. Several of those years were spent as an assistant director or director of mental health services at a large university. Maybe you're feeling let down at school, like this isn't how it was supposed to be. Maybe it seems like everyone else has found their friend group but you only feel connected to acquaintances. Maybe you're experiencing anxiety or depression or both. Whether your concerns are related to starting college, graduating, or somewhere in between, let's talk this through together and find your path to feeling your best. No issue is too big or too small. I am licensed in MA and I am a registered telehealth provider in FL, so I can see clients in person in my Natick, MA office or by video anywhere in MA or FL. I see clients aged 16 and up.

I am a pre-Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Registered Drama Therapist (RDT). If you are feeling anxious, exploring your identities, transitioning to different cultures, environments, or age groups, I am here for you. I create a safe space for you to be heard and feel authentic. Being fluent in Japanese and coming from a different cultural background, my approach is rooted in understanding diverse emotional and cultural perspectives of my clients. I have experience providing individual and group therapy to clients ranging from children to adults with neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as those navigating anxiety, life and/or cultural transitions and trauma. My specialty is expressive therapies, particularly drama therapy. I can utilize drama therapy or expressive arts-based approach if you think that might be helpful. Words sometimes cannot articulate everything you are feeling or experiencing, but I believe imagination, embodied expression, and play can narrate them in different ways. My goal is to support you by navigating your challenges and embracing your unique stories. If you think using words in another language other than English can express your emotions well, we can explore that too. We can find a healthy relationship with your challenges by utilizing your innate creativity. 日本語でもどうぞ!
