I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with extensive experience supporting adolescents, young adults, and families through both school-based and clinical counseling settings. For several years, I have worked as a school adjustment counselor, helping students navigate academic stress, social challenges, emotional regulation, and mental health concerns. This role has allowed me to work closely with students, families, educators, and support staff to create practical strategies that help young people succeed both in and outside of the classroom. The most important part of therapy is building a good rapport with the individual to create a safe and comfortable space. Therapy isn't always easy and neither is the decision to find a therapist; working to ensure clients are comfortable with me and helping them to identify their goals so that the treatment trajectory is predictable, but allows for space to talk about day to day events, if needed. Lastly, ensuring client and therapist personalities align is important as it only enhances the sense of safety and the capacity for positive rapport growth. There is no one intervention that is best for one person. Therefore, I operate with an eclectic combination and knowledge of multiple interventions and techniques as a way to provide the best and most effective strength based and unique treatment. Treatment interventions are individualized in order to align with the identified treatment plan and goals. Individuals have experienced a multitude of events throughout their lives that connect to and impact their capacity to function as they wish within the world today. One persons experiences are never compared or judged; everyone is always doing the best they can in those moments and I want to work with them to help increase what their best looks or feels like.

Dr. Kitty Wong is a psychiatric physician based in Medway, MA, who has over twenty years of experience helping individuals and families with complex mental health needs. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and remained there to complete her adult psychiatry residency. She completed her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Harvard affiliated Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital program in 2005 and served as a Clinical Instructor at the Harvard Medical School after graduation for several years. Dr. Wong is the founder of Moxie Psychiatric Services and has held leadership roles as a child psychiatrist consultant and medical director at various organizations. She has extensive experience working with issues such as post-traumatic stress disorder, child abuse and neglect, special education and the residential-educational system, ADHD, mood disorders, OCD, complex psychopharmacology and deprescribing. Dr. Wong's initial consultation appointments typically take anywhere from 90 min up to 2 hours ($1500) depending on how complex a person's history and current needs are. Follow up appointments are usually about 25min ($300). Longer appointments lasting 40 min are $450, and complex appointments that last up to 60 min are $600. Dr. Wong welcomes students who are on the fence and have questions about psychiatric medication as well as those who are open and ready to get started. Students who are seeking treatment impacted by substance abuse will not find her to be a good fit for their needs as this is not an area of expertise.

I was adopted from India when I was six months old and my narrative has shaped the work I love doing with adoptees, and families in the adoption constellation. I am a transracial adoptee with a private practice focused in supporting those navigate the ups and downs of the adoption journey. I named my practice Chandani Post Adoption Counseling - Chandani is my birth name. Loss of birth family/culture, identity/connection. Themes that may come up in our work look similar to loss, grief, birth/adoptive family, communication, identity development, shame, guilt, sense of belonging, transracial adoption, race/culture, international adoption, family dynamics, anxiety, worry, fear, relationships. It’s my goal to hold space for the everyday moments while looking at things through an adoption lens.
