As a Licensed Master Social Worker, I specialize in depression and anxiety, OCD, self-esteem, relationship issues, stress management, and life transitions for young adults and adults who want more than just a space to process difficult emotions. If you’re looking for practical tools, greater self-awareness, and the ability to navigate life's challenges with growing confidence and independence, then I am here for you. Therapy, to me, works best when it feels like a genuine partnership. I bring authenticity, curiosity, and respect to every session, and am committed to being a warm, honest presence as you work toward the life you want to create. Together, we'll explore the patterns that may be holding you back, develop skills that actually fit your life, and build the insight you need to keep moving forward. I don't believe therapy is about someone else having the answers for you. At its core, it's about creating space to slow down, get curious about yourself, and develop the tools needed to move through life with more confidence and intention. That belief shapes everything about how I work. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you reconnect with your strengths, explore your experiences with openness, and gain a clearer understanding of the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Rather than directing what you should do, I'll support you in discovering what feels right for you and help you build the confidence to trust yourself along the way. In practice, I draw on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic interventions. Sessions are welcoming and nonjudgmental, a space where you can learn to respond to emotions more effectively and strengthen your ability to act in alignment with your values. My interest in becoming a therapist started early in life. After losing loved ones, I found myself wanting to be a source of support for my family during the hardest moments. As I grew older, that desire evolved into a deeper passion for understanding people and the human experience. Through studying psychology and social psychology, I became fascinated by the ways our thoughts, emotions, relationships, and environments shape how we move through the world. I carry this passion and curiosity with me now, offering a genuine investment in understanding who you are and what you need to move forward. When I'm not working, I love exploring my creative side through art, cooking, baking, and decorating. I'm also an avid runner and regularly race half-marathons. Both creativity and running have taught me a great deal about myself, from learning how to navigate challenges and adapt to setbacks to appreciating the value of patience, curiosity, and growth.

Psychotherapy is a co-created experience between the therapist and client. For over 20 years I have had the honor of working with people who feel stuck in their lives, whether it be their jobs, their relationships, or perhaps in some part of their identity. By bringing non-judgmental curiosity to our work together, it is my goal to create a safe and welcoming space within which we can explore the patterns of behavior that may not be serving their purpose anymore. I enjoy working with teens and adults, providing them with support to be their most authentic selves. My experience as a middle school counselor afforded me the opportunity to work with children and their families during an often very tumultuous time. It is there that I developed an interest in gender and sexuality development and I have worked with many families whose child has undergone a social transition regarding their gender identity. I consult with schools on how best to support children socially transitioning, and give workshops to teachers & professionals on how to create more inclusive classrooms. I also have extensive experience working with children with learning disabilities. In addition to my work as a clinical social worker, I am a sexuality educator and am pursuing a PhD.

As a licensed therapist, I am dedicated to empowering adults and families of all backgrounds and cultures in navigating life challenges. These include anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, grief and loss, emotional struggles, trauma and PTSD, panic disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and I believe healing happens when we feel seen, supported, and safe to explore growth and emotions in our own time. To achieve this, I take a strength-based, compassionate, and practical approach, allowing me to equip you with effective tools and skills to realize lasting mental wellness. Working together, you can expect an encouraging and nonjudgemental environment that uses evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP). My goal is to help you develop healthy coping skills, deepen self-awareness, and create meaningful change through compassionate and collaborative care that is tailored to your unique goals and pace. I believe in the power of connection, collaboration, and evidence-based therapy, equipping me to be an effective and inspiring therapist. I look forward to walking alongside you as you build insight, resilience, and confidence in your journey to healing and achieving your goals. Having spent four years in the social work field, I saw first-hand how trauma impacts individuals and families, as well as how healing transforms lives. This diverse experience fueled my desire to become a therapist by deepening my passion to provide effective, empowering therapy that addresses the root causes of mental health struggles. I believe every person is capable of healing, which is why I bring empathy, curiosity, and genuine belief in each person’s potential to every session. When I'm not in the office, I’m most often spending time with friends or family. And when I’m not with loved ones, I enjoy being active – playing the piano, cooking, or discovering hidden gems in NYC!

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than ten years of experience, I work with adults navigating depression, anxiety, identity questions, attachment concerns, relationship challenges, and other personal and relational difficulties. My work is grounded in meeting you exactly where you are, honoring what you've lived through, and helping you move toward a greater sense of wholeness. Whatever brings you to therapy, you can expect a partner who is both competent and genuinely invested in your healing. I believe that when people feel truly accepted, they can begin to understand the challenges they face and find their way toward a greater inner healing. I look forward to walking that journey together with you. Healing the self so that you achieve a fuller and more realized life is what drives my work. That conviction is what draws me to psychodynamic therapy, which uses the relationship between therapist and patient as a meaningful vehicle for change. When the therapeutic relationship itself feels safe and honest, real transformation becomes possible. Within that relational foundation, I draw from a range of approaches to meet your individual needs, including person-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and supportive therapy. The modalities that guide our sessions will always be chosen based on your unique story, family history, and cultural background. My style is open, honest, and respectful, and the environment I aim to create is one where you feel seen, not categorized. What you bring into the room shapes where we go together. My path to becoming a therapist began with a population I care about deeply: poor and marginalized immigrants who needed counseling in their own language, often Spanish, and who found it difficult to transition from speaking with a clergyman to speaking with a psychotherapist. As a Franciscan Priest, I recognized that I could bridge that gap, and so I pursued licensure as a clinical social worker specifically to serve that community. This experience deepened my commitment to culturally sensitive, person-centered care and instilled in me a profound respect for the role of spirituality and culture in a person's inner life. Every patient I work with today benefits from that awareness — an understanding that healing doesn't happen in isolation from who someone is, where they come from, or what gives their life meaning. Deepening my spiritual life is something I return to regularly, alongside time shared with friends over a good meal. Staying physically active each week is also important to me, a practice I find as grounding as it is energizing.

Health and wellness are not linear and will only evolve within a dynamic and complex interplay of the many systems in our lives. I firmly believe that promoting mental health is a part of this interplay. I can help you with exploring those systems relevant to your mental health and developing strategies and routines to promote a robust everyday experience. I call this promoting your mental “Wellth”; because we can consider ourselves wealthy when our whole being is supported and living in abundance, not just our financials. My hope for the clients that I work with is that you will find the experience of working on your presenting needs and concerns to be a robust challenge. One that brings you closer to being the person you know you can be and closer to maintaining the lifestyle and relationships that are ideal for you.

As a pre-licensed mental health counselor with three years of experience, I help neurodiverse adolescents and young adults navigate struggles with executive functioning, emotional regulation, life transitions, grief, interpersonal communication, and identity exploration. I love working with patients who are curious about their behaviors and want to learn more about themselves as they navigate their personal mental health journey. My hope is to be an extension of your support system as you move through life’s natural transitions, finding healthier ways to express yourself while offering unconditional positive regard, empathy, and a listening ear. If you feel like this resonates with you, please reach out so we can chat further! When working with younger populations, I integrate play and expressive arts therapies into my sessions. For older populations, I use aspects of Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), allowing patients to have a say in personalizing their space and treatment goals. I take a fluid and ever-changing approach to therapy as I learn new skills and modalities to share, and to better customize care to each person’s unique story and needs. In the first few sessions, we collaboratively set treatment goals and work together to find the most impactful modalities to use. Whether this includes solution-focused activities or meaningful conversations to better process life events, the goal is to give you a space to be authentically yourself with the ability to comfortably share feedback and tailor sessions to better curate your healing journey. I was drawn to the mental health field at a young age through my own struggles to find my voice and better advocate for myself. As a neurodivergent clinician, I empathize with the difficulty in finding a space where individuals feel truly heard and understood. This unique perspective has led me to curating personalized spaces for my patients to make strides toward their treatment goals in a way that feels authentic to them. A huge music enthusiast, I love to attend concerts and musicals on my days off, as well as draw, write, and walk my dog around the neighborhood. I'm also an avid thrifter and am constantly pushing my personal style to new heights!

Are you struggling to feel understood in therapy? Are you having trouble within your relationships and feeling like you have no idea what to do? Are you interested in exploring who you are and what is happening inside you? Do you want to engage with more coping skills? Then I might be the therapist for you. I work best with clients or couples who are under the queer, trans, and BIPOC umbrellas. I also specialize in working with sex workers, avoidance/ dissociation patterns, identity/gender/sexuality exploration, sex/intimacy, communication, confidence/ self-esteem, boundaries, non-monogamy, and shame/guilt. Your input and experiences are paramount in our work together. In therapy, I will draw upon a variety of modalities such as narrative therapy, CBT, somatic work, creative arts therapies, and parts work to help us get closer to your ideals and goals. As a trans-femme, queer, bigger-bodied, white-latine, southerner I know how difficult and sometimes dangerous vulnerability can be. I know this as a human being, as a counselor, and as a person in a position of power. Your vulnerability will be honored and cared for with me as well as all of the intersections of power, privilege, and identity that you share.

Whether you're working through the weight of complex family dynamics, struggling to understand how your past is shaping your present, or simply trying to find your footing, you've come to the right place. As a Licensed Master Social Worker with five years of experience, my work centers on helping people navigate anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. While much of my work connects deeply with people in their 20s and 30s, these experiences are universal, and anyone navigating similar challenges is welcome here. My goal is to help you make sense of what you're going through, better understand yourself, and find a path forward that feels clear, realistic, and genuinely meaningful. Therapy with me is grounded, honest, and real. You won't have to meet me halfway; I'll meet you exactly where you are. The way we relate to ourselves and others is often shaped by patterns formed long before we were aware of them. Understanding where those patterns come from, and how they're affecting your life today, is at the heart of how we'll work together. My approach is warm, curious, and completely nonjudgmental. Drawing from an integrative framework that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), we'll explore what's keeping you stuck and build the insight and tools needed to move forward in a way that feels sustainable. Sessions are collaborative by design, shaped around your unique needs, goals, and experiences. My style is direct and down to earth, because the most meaningful progress happens when things are broken down in a way that feels clear, practical, and relevant to your life. Having faced my own mental health challenges and experienced firsthand what it feels like to have those concerns dismissed, I came to this work with deep conviction. Normalizing mental health conversations and creating a space where you feel genuinely understood isn't just a professional value; it's a personal one. Every session, I bring a warm, direct, and grounded presence with the intention of making sure you never feel unheard. Outside of sessions, you can find me catching up on the latest shows and films, hunting for new music, or heading to Pilates. Reading, crocheting, and other crafts give me a creative outlet I genuinely love, and I'm always up for a good shopping trip or the chance to explore somewhere new. Travel, in particular, feeds my curiosity in ways that carry right back into the work.

I work with a variety of people whose active, creative lives have been interrupted by depression, mania, anxiety, mourning, and trauma. Psychotherapy with me is a process of guided expression. Thoughts and feelings, dreams and fantasies, desires and fears are given voice – loud, clear, and without judgment. The experience of formulating authentic verbal and emotional expressions can be transformative in and of itself. Also, as patterns in your way of being become clear, you can begin to consider alternatives, find courage to change, and experience what is commonly known as freedom. I think mental health means developing a Full Self – a progressive version of you that can love hard and work hard, understand complex motivations, and experience feelings, including painful ones, without being overwhelmed. In this process, I draw from extensive, ongoing training in both psychodynamics and cognitive-behavioral work. My training began in 2005 at Bellevue’s Psychiatric Emergency Room and continued at renowned New York City hospitals and institutions. I’ve been in private practice in Brooklyn since 2011. Also, I was an adjunct professor in a clinical Ph.D. program for many years and supervised trainees at two college clinics and psychiatry residents at Mt. Sinai Hospital. My publications are in the areas of loneliness, personality disorders, and art.
