I welcome you, all of you - the good, the bad, and the ugly. I welcome the part of you that wants to scream and perhaps doesn’t know how to. I welcome the part of you that is screaming and not being heard. I welcome the part of you that constantly criticizes you – whose voice is that? I welcome the many versions of you as a child – carefree? careful? I welcome the parts of you that are shining and the parts of you that are hiding. I welcome the parts of you that feel uncontrollable and the parts of you that you keep in order. I welcome the parts you want to get rid of and the parts you cling onto. Our work together is about inviting all your inner selves to the table and hearing them out – how is each part, some seemingly “bad,” trying to help you?

College can be one of the most exciting times in your life: but it can also bring a lot of pressure. Between classes, deadlines, part time jobs, and planning for the future, it is easy to feel overwhelmed. If you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trouble concentrating, mood swings, or just not feeling like yourself, you are not alone—and you don’t have to push through it without support. I’m a provider with extensive experience treating adults 18+ across a wide range of mental health conditions. Over the years, I’ve worked in some of New York City’s leading hospitals, including Mount Sinai’s Main Campus, Mount Sinai Beth Israel, Queens Hospital, Elmhurst Hospital, and Bronx Lebanon Hospital. I’ve provided care in emergency psychiatric settings (CPEP), inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and through telepsychiatry—giving me a deep understanding of both urgent and long-term mental health needs. My current focus is medication management, tailored specifically to your unique symptoms and goals. Whether you’re struggling with focus, managing your mood, dealing with panic attacks, or just trying to function under the weight of constant stress, I’ll work with you to find a treatment plan that fits—and actually helps. To make care more accessible, I offer flexible evening and weekend appointments, so your mental health doesn’t have to take a back seat to everything else on your plate. With a South Asian background and fluency in Urdu/Hindi, I deeply understand the cultural stigma and access challenges many patients face. This insight informs my compassionate, individualized, evidence-based approach, especially for complex cases.

Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, depressed? Would you like and to make the best decisions for yourself? Do you need to prioritize your obligations and responsibilities? Are you worrying about everything—in the present and future? Are you struggling with your mental health, education, career, relationships, social circles? Do you need someone to help you create true, lasting change? Being a emerging adult is an exciting time that can be filled with possibilities for adventure, growth and exploration. At the same time, it can bring a sense of confusion and feeling overwhelmed about who you are, what you want and how to get there. Maybe there are obstacles, new or old, that get in the way of making progress. According to the American Psychological Association (APA), younger adults today face more stress than any other previous generation. Your concerns are unique from those of your parents, making a tailored, custom approach to therapy most beneficial. I provide such an approach. Emerging adulthood is the perfect time to discover new strategies to better manage your life so that you can become your best self and have the future that you want.

I am an Asian American therapist with over 10 years of experience working with undergraduate and graduate students, traditional and non-traditional. My aim as a therapist is to offer my clients a space where they can take the time from their otherwise hectic schedules to pause and be curious about their feelings, behaviors, and reactions. Often we can feel like we are moving from one task to another and before long, we lose touch with why we started on the path we are on in the first place. In therapy, one can reconnect with the parts of themselves needed to feel balanced and thrive. I also strongly believe that the relationship between therapist and client is key for one to be able to explore, reflect, and ultimately heal. As such, I prioritize in creating a safe, supportive space where we may work together to better understand your unique experiences.

Learning how to navigate life as a young adult is hard! You are trying to balance the demands of work or school, family, and friends, all while while figuring out who you are and who you want to be. As a driven and successful individual, you may put a lot of pressure on yourself and feel constrained by your own expectations. This can lead to constant self-doubt and feeling like you’re always reaching for an unattainable (or unrealistic) goal. You may be overextending yourself to others, and not focusing on yourself. Perhaps you have negative thought patterns or behaviors that are causing discomfort or you don’t always understand your reactions. Let’s work together to discover the barriers that are keeping you from finding balance in your life - taking care of yourself and setting boundaries is not selfish! I provide virtual therapy to clients located in New York, Florida, and internationally.

Do you have a sense that people don’t get you? Do you travel a different path than everybody else? Are you living your life very differently from what other people expect you to? Do people tell you that sometimes you are thinking way outside the box? Are your parents different from you and do they want you to be someone else? Life can be tough when you feel different. Different can also mean isolated, lonely, and misunderstood. It can also mean constantly asking yourself: Will I ever fit in? Can anybody understand me? Why can’t people accept me for who I am? Am I doing the right thing? Will I be happy? That’s what I can help you with. BE DIFFERENT AND STILL FIT IN. The therapist-client relationship is a collaborative one, where you are an expert on yourself and we work together towards your goals. I believe that you should be satisfied with the services you are receiving and thus I frequently assess the clients' progress and satisfaction with my services during the duration of therapy. I strive to tailor therapy to best fit your needs. My approach to working with clients is practical and straightforward, yet warm, genuine, and supportive.
