Welcome! As a lesbian therapist, I’m dedicated to supporting queer/LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, college students, as well as adults and teens from all backgrounds and identities. My practice focuses on the mind-body connection, providing an affirming space where you can explore your experiences, gain valuable insights, build resilience, connect deeply with your body, and work towards meaningful, lasting change. In my years of experience I have come to realize so much about living in the world robs us of our ability to acknowledge our own magic. Therapy should be a safe place for you to begin to reclaim that magic and learn how to discover your own power. By using a "bottom to top" approach to identify how long held, negative beliefs, have kept you reliving and repeating the past, you can finally live in the present. I provide a safe, non judgemental space for you to work through trauma and reclaim the power inherent in you.
Life isn’t always easy. Sometimes, even the strongest people amongst us need a little bit of help to work through some of life’s more challenging problems. Everyone has battles to fight and hurdles to overcome at some point. Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, or any other issue, you should know that there is hope for a better tomorrow. You might be initially hesitant to seek out help and support for personal matters, but when you do, you will feel confident that you are taking a courageous first step towards getting to a better place and being a better you. My practice specializes in treating individuals, couples and families, and through years of experience, I’m confident that no problem is too great to overcome. Through therapy, there is always a way to address the issues you face and learn coping strategies to help you both right now and in the future.
It’s exhausting to feel like the expert on your own problems but a stranger to the solution. Whether you’re worried about your relationships with those closest to you or navigating major life transitions, we’ve all felt lost at one point or another. My approach is built on the belief that change is something we make, not just something we hope will come to us. With a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling and a background in Psychology and Sociology, I view your symptoms as only one piece of the puzzle. It’s your individual experience that truly guides the process. My years of working as a Case Manager have shown me firsthand how life’s stressors can pile up until they feel impossible to manage. As an LMHC, I blend gold-standard clinical practices with a unique, creative edge to help my clients combat these feelings. To bridge the gap between talk and transformation, I utilize custom-designed worksheets and art therapy tools to help you process emotions in a guided, digestible way. Whether we’re untangling relationship patterns or mapping out your next chapter in life, you’ll leave our sessions with more than just new realizations and food for thought. I will provide you with a tangible roadmap, a visual guide, to help you on this journey to transformation. You don’t need to have all the answers before you walk through my virtual door. We’re going to find those together, step-by-step and at your own pace.

I understand that many seek therapy during very difficult times, times when overwhelming life stressors and transitions begin to interfere with daily life, relationships, or a sense of well-being. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and psychotherapist, I’m here to help adults ages 18 and up develop practical tools and insight so these symptoms no longer dictate how they live. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with patients in overcoming mental health symptoms that impact day-to-day functioning. This includes discomfort in social situations due to anxiety, depression, or low motivation; or seeking treatment because of significant life challenges such as relationship discord, professional stressors and burnout, and loss. No matter the struggle, my goal is to assist in the development of tools and coping skills that help patients better manage emotions. If you relate to these struggles and are ready to hear more, please reach out today. Together, we will build practical tools, insight, and resilience so you can navigate challenges with greater confidence and clarity. I believe a strong collaborative relationship is key to helping you manage symptoms of anxiety and depression and move toward living the life you want. That’s why therapy with me is collaborative, respectful, and focused on creating a space where you feel heard and understood. Our time together is conversational, not clinical; I don’t use a lot of clinical jargon, as I feel that this approach allows for the clearest communication and reduces the presence of a power dynamic. When people ask me why I chose the field of social work and became a therapist, my answer is simple: it just seemed to fit me. My first introduction to social work and psychotherapy was during my second year of college. Of course, I had an interest in psychology, but I’ve also always had a keen curiosity about people and their stories. Social work and psychotherapy certainly allow me to combine those two interests. Still, it wasn't just the course work in those classes that caught my attention – it was the professors. They spoke with compassion about helping others in a way that was authentic and genuine. By the end of those classes, I'd found a profession that allowed me to be my authentic self and still help people. I enjoy live music and spending time at the beach when I’m not with patients. I'm also an avid hockey and baseball fan – go NY Islanders and Mets!
I am a psychologist with over twenty years of experience providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents and adults from a range of backgrounds. I assist individuals with issues related to family, work and peer relationships, academic and professional development, parenting, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, postpartum adjustment and life transitions. I work with individuals to increase their understanding of themselves within the context of their unique experiences. I help individuals achieve a new perspective, personal growth and permanent change. Treatment is long-term or short-term, and is both exploratory and solution based. My approach is collaborative and integrates primarily psychodynamic methods with some aspects of cognitive-behavioral therapy. I am currently a candidate in psychoanalytic training and am accepting individuals for low cost psychoanalysis. I am an active listener who is warm, empathic and attuned to each individual's therapeutic needs and goals. I enjoy attending professional workshops and conferences to enhance my practice.

Welcome! Today is a really big day for you. You have made a decision to make a change in your life for the better. You are to be congratulated and supported for this. I bet it wasn't easy getting here. Making these changes can get very complicated along the way. Are you ready to take the necessary steps to be the change you are looking for? Do you want to exceed your own expectations in your life? Are you focused, humble and willing to consider the thoughtful input of others in order to achieve your goals? If your answer is "yes" to these questions - then let's begin! One thing to consider... nothing changes if nothing changes. The way we live our lives is completely based on the way we perceive it. This statement is the bedrock foundation of my counseling practice. With each area of assistance I offer, the rewards of mindfulness, empowerment and ultimately self-realization are the goals to be pursued. Everything we do in our life IS a choice. We can choose to be empowered or not.

I’m glad you’re here. Looking for support is a big first step. Therapy can be a place to slow down, to make sense of what you’re dealing with, and find new ways forward that feel more manageable. I have extensive experience working with college-aged and emerging adults navigating identity, relationships, and life transitions. Additionally, I've worked with adults on the autism spectrum, family members and caregivers of people with developmental disabilities, and others in helping roles. More importantly, I’m interested in getting to know you as an individual and working together in a way that feels supportive, practical, and aligned with who you are. Therapy works best when it feels like a partnership. I’ll listen, guide, and support you as you build on your strengths, tackle challenges, and develop practical tools for growth. Together, we’ll create a safe space where you can feel understood, empowered, and more confident in yourself.
