"Do you want to simply "survive" in life, or do you want to "thrive" in life? Unfortunately many of us are simply surviving. With over two decades in the field of human services I, along with my dedicated staff have created a space coupled with highly effective treatment approaches to help you to live again! We offer services to those who need to heal from: depression, anxiety, family conflict, life transitions, trauma, and grief and loss. When we rid our lives of these "toxins", we make room to begin a life journey that we never thought was possible! My commitment is to work with individuals by helping them live to their fullest potential by way of providing support, encouragement and empowerment. My work is strength based in order to build a solid treatment foundation. (i.e. Instead of what's "wrong" with you, what's "right" with you?) A Journey to You offers a space that is conveniently located, has plenty of free parking, and is wheelchair accessible. The environment is quiet, comfortable and tastefully decorated, providing a place where individuals can feel a level of safety and contentment in which to work.
Mental health symptoms like depression, anxiety, anger, stress, etc., are just that- symptoms! These symptoms come from somewhere in your life, it is your bodies way of telling you "something's not right" or "there needs to be a change here." It is my passion to help one figure out what these symptoms are trying to tell them. After we understand the message we will work to build knowledge, mindsets, skills, and other insights to continue growth and prevent those symptoms from returning or reduce the impact they have on ones life.
Holiday Blues? Struggles with navigating challenges like depression, anxiety, trauma, behavioral concerns, stress, and self-esteem? I offer a supportive space where you can explore what’s weighing on you and begin to move toward healing and balance. My approach is person-centered and tailored to your needs. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just need someone to talk to, I’m here to help. I draw from a range of therapeutic methods including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, strengths-based strategies, psychoeducation, mindfulness, and EMDR. In our first few sessions, we’ll talk about what brings you to therapy—your story. I focus on building trust and rapport from the start because I know opening up can feel intimidating. Together, we’ll identify goals and create a treatment plan that feels right for you. Clients often tell me they appreciate the calm, welcoming environment I create. We’ll work at your pace, and you’ll never be pushed to go faster than you’re ready for. I’m passionate about this work because I get to witness real transformation—watching clients grow, heal, and reconnect with themselves is incredibly rewarding.
I have always enjoyed connecting with people and learning about their experiences. I knew I wanted to go into the field when I was a senior in high school. From that point on, my education and training have centered on being the best therapist I can be. I have worked in hospitals, schools, and mental health agencies to gain a variety of experiences and expertise. From working in different settings, I knew I had a natural inclination to help my clients feel at ease and make therapy not only helpful but enjoyable.Since I have experienced therapy, I know what it is like to be on the other side. I appreciate a nonjudgmental approach with kindness and humor sprinkled in at the appropriate times. I believe therapy does not have to be serious all the time. Growth comes from support, understanding, and compassion.

Need support through life’s challenges? I will help you work through a range of issues, whether that’s depression, anxiety, or any other life transition issue. In each step of your journey, I will encourage self-empowerment and positive growth. I will also work with you to identify the areas of your life that may no longer serve you. I use an integrated psychotherapy method grounded in existential, phenomenological, interpersonal, and gestalt approaches. What this means is that I will tailor your treatment to incorporate your worldview, values, and creativity, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model. I also incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) to ensure that we manage acute suffering along the way. If you’ve ever felt different or marginalized, I am committed to providing you a space that is welcoming and inclusive. I am accepting new clients and can work with you either in-person or virtually. I look forward to hearing from you!

Queer enough? Babe, you're overqualified. If you're questioning it, you probably already know the answer. Queerness isn't a checklist or a vibe check. You don't need a membership card, you are already in. Out of the entire LGBTQIA+ community, folks like bi, pan, genderfluid, and nonbinary people are often seen as "less queer" - yet we face the highest rates of gender/sex based anxiety and depression. The double-closet effect - feeling invisible to both straight and queer spaces - makes it harder to feel seen, heard, and valid. No matter the mental health symptom, for queer people, healing starts with feeling validated and affirmed. I help queer folks who struggle to feel like they belong (including in LGBTQIA+ spaces) embrace their identity, trust their "enoughness," find calm through adversity, and conquer life stress, relationship trauma, and anxiety. I'm here for your fluidity, your bisexuality (no matter the gender of your partner), your polyamory, your transness. Welcome home. Healing starts with being in a space where you don't have to explain or prove yourself. We don't have to focus exclusively on queerness in your sessions, but you will never have to wonder if it's accepted and understood. Whether stress, relationship trauma, or anxiety, we'll focus on what matters to you. When you're ready, I'm here.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with 15 years of experience helping people develop insight, knowledge and self-compassion. I specialize in treating anxiety, trauma, substance use, relationship conflict and grief. I am a national consultant for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Substance Use Disorders, certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, Dual Recovery and skilled in therapies for those with abuse histories (e.g., STAIR, Seeking Safety). My doctoral training in cognitive neuroscience laid the foundation for my understanding of thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Together we will learn how your specific life experiences shape your biology to make you the person you are today. With this understanding we can find tools to reduce suffering and increase meaning in your life. Above all else, I value the human relationship. I believe my most important skill is helping people feel comfortable and build trust in the therapeutic alliance. Please reach out so you can tell me about yourself and your needs.

Hi, I’m Tori — a therapist, theatre-maker, sourdough enthusiast, and firm believer that we’re all just doing our best to make sense of being human. My work is for anyone who’s ever thought, “Am I the drama?” — and then realized, maybe, a little. I love working with women, queer folks, and anyone who doesn’t quite fit into the neat boxes the world tends to hand out. My special heart-space is for college-aged and younger women trying to navigate identity, independence, relationships, and the wild, weird in-between of figuring it all out. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years in the theatre — helping people tell their stories, find their voices, and sit in the beautiful chaos of being seen. That same creative spirit is what guides me in therapy. Together, we’ll look at what’s working, what’s not, and gently (or not-so-gently) challenge the stories that keep you stuck. My background is in trauma and crisis work, with training in CBT, narrative therapy, and evidence-based approaches — but the heart of my work is connection. I want you to feel like you can show up as your whole self here — messy, brilliant, funny, heartbroken, healing, or all of the above. When I’m not in session, I’m usually baking bread, playing with my dogs, or daydreaming about planting too many flowers in my (slightly shady) backyard garden. Therapy with me isn’t about being “fixed” — it’s about being found.
Reach out if you have experienced a loss or difficult transition if you are struggling to set boundaries or express your needs, if you are struggling with difficult emotions or if you just aren’t feeling like yourself. It is our goal to support you in exploring your experiences, releasing things that you may have been carrying, setting goals you want to achieve, and identifying patterns and beliefs that are creating barriers. Our role as therapists is to provide a safe, judgment-free, and confidential space for you to process vulnerable thoughts and emotions. Our approach is person-centered and focuses on building a supportive relationship while using cognitive behavioral theory as a framework. We specialize in trauma therapy and work with individuals experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress. Some of the modalities used include EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. Let us help you to know and be present with yourself.
Finding calm and clarity when your mind won’t slow down is possible. I can guide the way. We have more influence over our thoughts than we realize. In our work, you’ll learn to approach your thinking more intentionally. As your thoughts change, you’ll start to notice changes in how you feel, the choices you make, and how you move through your life. I help clients slow things down, make sense of what’s been difficult, and address the patterns that keep them feeling stuck. This often includes working through anxiety, depression, and the impact of trauma and past experiences. I also support women navigating life transitions, helping them feel more grounded and steady through change. My approach is thoughtful and practical, combining insight with tools you can use in your day-to-day life.
