Everyone says you’re “young,” “in your prime,” and living what are supposed to be “the best years of your life”…why doesn’t it feel that way? As you try to juggle school and work and family and relationships, you might constantly worry that you aren’t good enough or aren’t doing this right. You’re lost and burnt out, but also expected to be ‘adulting’...and you’re scared you don’t really know how. If you are struggling with any of these issues, you might be in the right place. My name is Elyse, and I specialize in supporting teens and young adults working through the many transitions of high school, college, and career. My purpose is to create a safe space where clients feel heard, build self-confidence, process their emotions, and work to solve their problems. I work with my clients to figure out the goals and values that are most important to them. Together, we will focus on your strengths and work towards a life where you feel like you are safe, respected, and confident. Making an appointment for therapy can be intimidating, but I am here to help you through the process. I offer a free consultation to discuss your goals, answer your questions, and decide if we are a good fit. If you are interested and ready to make positive changes, please reach out! I am currently serving in-person clients in Austin and virtual clients from anywhere in Texas.
If you’ve been feeling like you’ve kind of lost yourself lately, you’re not alone—and you’re exactly who I love working with. A lot of the people I see are juggling school, expectations, relationships, and big life decisions, while quietly feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of who they really are. You might overthink everything, struggle to say no, or feel pressure to have it all figured out—even when you don’t. In our work together, you won’t get a stiff or overly clinical experience. I show up as a real person—warm, down-to-earth, and sometimes bringing in humor when it helps take the edge off. I’ll help you slow things down, make sense of what you’re feeling, and start trusting yourself more so you can feel grounded, confident, and more like you again.

Heather loves to help her clients achieve the goals they set for themselves. She works hard to create a warm, relaxing and open minded environment for her clients to work. Heather has experience helping families meet each other where they are and improving the relationships; helping those struggling with addictions and how to work through the process; helping those with stress/depression/grief/school/relationship and work struggles are some examples of the type of clients Heather helps. She can help guide her clients to the goals they set and live the life they want and deserve. Heather understands that life can throw curve balls to all and wants to do what she can to help you from where you are. Heather helps based on what the client or clients are looking for. She will always have a plan for your sessions, but truly wants her clients to have a voice in how they work through whatever issues are at hand. When Heather is not working, she loves to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoys being outside, road trips, being on the water somewhere, building her faith and finding a good spot to read a book. Heather cannot wait to help you achieve the goals you have and would love to talk with you further about how she can assist you.
I earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree specializing in Psychiatry from The University of Texas at Arlington. I am proud to say I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am a true believer that not one of my fellow humans is immune to stress, anxiety, and feelings of sadness at some point in their life. We all find ourselves feeling vulnerable at times. It is completely normal to question why we feel the emotions that we do, why we seem to fall apart at times, and better yet, how we can get through it all in one beautiful piece. I think the first step to meaningful recovery from anxiety, depression, complex mental illness, and/or substance use is to reach out and ask for help. It is a difficult, but very brave action. I am not one to judge, look down on, question your past experiences, or current situation. I am very good at rationally breaking down a situation and I can offer practical advice and medication suggestions depending on your goal in mind. Hi, I’m Dr. Udo Chukwuocha, a doctoral-prepared psychiatric and family nurse practitioner who offers a supportive and holistic approach to mental health. I work well with college students who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, unmotivated, emotionally stuck, or experiencing sleep and focus issues. Many of my clients are adjusting to big life transitions, juggling school and personal pressures, or trying to make sense of their emotions and habits. I especially enjoy supporting students from BIPOC and immigrant communities, as well as women navigating mood changes related to hormones. If you’ve had negative experiences with mental health care before or felt misunderstood, I strive to create a space that feels inclusive, collaborative, and respectful of your unique background. My approach blends medication management with lifestyle coaching, brief supportive therapy, and integrative tools like supplements and lab testing when helpful. If you're looking for care that looks at the bigger picture—not just symptoms—I’d be glad to support you.

Welcome — I’m glad you’re here. College can be an exciting time, but it’s also a time when a lot of things can feel overwhelming. Maybe you're struggling with anxiety or depression, feeling stuck in unhealthy habits, or just unsure of who you are and where you're going. You're not alone—and you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself. I work with college students who are navigating the stress of classes, relationships, family pressure, identity exploration, and the weight of expectations. Many of my clients feel like they're just trying to survive each day, even though they want more than that—they want to thrive. Together, we work toward understanding what’s behind those struggles, building confidence, and developing the skills and insight needed to make meaningful change. In our sessions, I’ll meet you where you are. We’ll talk about what matters to you—your values, your experiences, your hopes for the future. We’ll also explore how past experiences might be showing up in your current challenges, and we’ll use that understanding to move toward growth and self-compassion. I believe therapy should feel safe, affirming, and real. I take a holistic, nonjudgmental approach that’s grounded in curiosity and respect for your unique journey. I’m queer-allied, sex-positive, and deeply committed to helping each person feel seen and supported. If you’re ready to talk, I’m ready to listen. Let’s figure it out together.
