I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Group Psychotherapist with over 12 years experience providing individual, group, and family therapy. I work with adolescents and adults of all ages who struggle with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, relationships, decision-making, work/school achievement, and/or making behavioral changes. Drawing from multiple theoretical approaches (psychodynamic, behavioral, cognitive behavioral; relational, mindfulness, etc.), I provide the opportunity to identify, explore, and work through challenges and desires in a safe and supportive environment. In addition to working with adults and adolescents individually, I specialize in group, couples, and family therapy. I lead three mixed gender groups (Tues 5:30-6:45p, Th 12-1:15p, and Th 5:45-7p) and one men's group (Mon 6-7:15p) in my private practice. I also co-lead an observed group (Tues 10:15-11:30a) at the Brookline Center for Community Mental Health. Please visit my website (www.joelkrieg.com) to learn more about my groups and my practice. Life challenges can lead to unease within our bodies and minds, which prevents us from living a healthy and fulfilling life. My job is to help you navigate those challenges in order to become your best self. I have worked with adolescents and teens managing the challenges of growing up, individuals living with substance use disorder and chronic mental illness, asylum seekers and refugees, and individuals looking for support in many facets of their lives. I utilize a strengths based strategy that helps clients recognize the innate talents that they possess, and build upon those in order to increase resiliency and develop confidence in navigating life challenges. We will work together to help you feel more at home within your body and mind. Reach out to schedule a free 15 minute consultation to see if we are a good fit!
I work with people who long to feel more at home with themselves and in their lives. My clients are curious, self-reflective and have experienced things that leave them feeling hurt, fearful and alone. During sessions we may encounter powerful gates of self-discovery like grief, anger, and shame. Together we get to know these parts of you, approach them with kindness, release painful stories and make meaning. Clients leave sessions feeling closer to themselves, able to move through their lives with clarity and presence. My approach weaves multiple therapeutic approaches within and beyond traditional psychotherapy. I’m trained in IFS and EMDR, and incorporate mindfulness and somatic practices into sessions. I offer reiki, a form of energy healing, to support regulation and rest. I'm also a student of tarot and astrology, and can include these perspectives in the work. I welcome all parts of you to this work. To learn more about me and to see if we are a good match for doing this work together, email me to schedule a free 15 minute consultation call.

Reaching out for support is a decision that takes enormous strength and bravery, and I feel honored to be a part of this journey whenever the time is right for you. I believe the therapeutic relationship is extremely important in creating a safe and comfortable space for changes to be made. I strive to meet my clients where they are to establish a strong and meaningful connection. My therapeutic style includes the use of empathy and validation, a little bit of humor, and a straightforward approach to help encourage insight-oriented discussions and openness to change. I hope to provide clients with an opportunity to not only explore themselves, but also to learn and implement skills if necessary. I utilize various therapeutic approaches, such as CBT and ACT, to provide personalized treatment to collaboratively work towards a better version of yourself.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, I believe that the best approach to therapy is a collaborative, integrated model that meets the needs of the person sitting before me. As your therapist, I am here to learn about you – your experiences, relationships, and insights – to help you understand different themes that may be contributing to your current stressors. In order to get the most from the therapeutic experience, I strongly believe the patient has to be an active participant in the work. Together we will assess the best steps to take based on your personal strengths and abilities. My hope is that through our work you feel more confident, secure, and connected to yourself, your relationships, and your goals. To reach these goals, I incorporate various evidence-based practices to help guide our work such as CBT, DBT, interpersonal therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing. These tools will allow us to explore how patterns may be impacting your life and provide opportunities to identify your strengths. This information will be the foundation for our work to grow upon knowledge and skills to help you reach your goals. If you are open to learning more and ready to engage therapy, please reach out to me today for more information.
Hi! My name is Victoria and I am a licensed mental health counselor in MA. I have experience working with all ages but have a specific interest in working with youth and young adults. A lot of my work has been helping my clients manage stress, anxiety, depression, life decisions, and relationship issues. I take a client-centered approach to empower you to have confidence in yourself and your decision making abilities. This time in your life can be complicated and stressful, but it can also be enjoyable and meaningful. Let's chat about it!
I am offering in person and virtual therapy sessions and have a variety of time/days open. I am an interactive, insight-oriented and solution-focused therapist. My strengths are working with those who have anxiety. With compassion and understanding, I will help you build on your strengths, and learn strategies to calm your anxiety and learn effective coping skills. The young adults I work with are able to safely explore difficult emotions, process current life events, and explore future goals, and what might be getting in the way of achieving these goals.
Central to the therapy process is connecting with someone with whom you can openly explore your past and present; thoughts, feelings, and wishes. As a therapist I am committed to helping you understand the important experiences and patterns that have influenced your life and begin to find openings for new insights and greater meaning. This can allow for personal growth, more fulfilling relationships, and improved coping with difficulties. My style is collaborative, supportive and interactive. My approach involves both facilitating personal exploration and helping you find new strategies for managing difficulty. People who come to see me are often struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, eating/body image concerns, or struggling with transitions in young adulthood

Inevitably, life presents difficulties, and can be challenging for many different reasons. Sometimes the things that bring people to therapy are very specific: perhaps a major life transition has become overwhelming, or certain patterns within a relationship are starting to take a toll. Pressures in some particular setting, whether it is at school, at work, or at home, may be feeling too difficult to navigate alone. Other times, people come to therapy a little less certain, feeling confused and unsure about where their life is headed, wanting something more. It’s not always easy to answer the question, “What brings you here?” People tend to doubt their inner strengths, and don’t quite realize how many resources they in fact possess. I have found that, though conversation with a trusted person, people can more easily identify and then build on those strengths. In my work with children, we often talk about expanding their “toolbox,” so that they have the skills to better manage overwhelming emotions and navigate complicated social situations. With teenagers and young adults, we often find ourselves talking about questions of identity development - the process of learning about who we are, how we got there, and what we want for ourselves moving forward. I see growth and development as a lifetime process, and, in my work with adults, we address all these issues in increasingly varied and complex ways, while also working together to navigate complex challenges presented by a world that can be arbitrary and unfair. My past experiences, doing individual and family therapy with people of all ages, of diverse backgrounds, and difficult, sometimes traumatic histories and life circumstances, have engendered within me a core belief that with the right support and collaboration, it is possible to make meaningful and long-lasting changes.
Nicole Warner is a queer, trauma-informed therapist, specializing in supporting LGBTQIA+ folks. Nicole takes a mindful approach by focusing both on the breath, and looking at wider external forces impacting folks when supporting individuals on their counseling journeys. Nicole believes we need to name the impact of systemic oppression to grow and heal.
Wherever you may be at in your journey, I look forward to joining you on your path towards greater mental and emotional well-being. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore your thoughts and feelings, and prioritize understanding things from your viewpoint. My main goal is to empower you as we collaborate to examine the impact of your experiences and stressors from new perspectives, to help you heal, and grow. I work with adults to address issues related to chronic pain, substance use, relationship difficulties, anxiety, and depression. I tailor my therapeutic interventions to meet your specific needs, taking a holistic approach to promote self-awareness, as you acquire new skills and refine coping strategies. Each session is an opportunity to gain clarity and acceptance, as you continue to learn how to be with yourself in the present moment. I welcome getting to know you and your story, recognizing the courage it takes to choose what may be more difficult in the near term, and more helpful in the long run.
