I am a licensed psychologist in NY and NJ. I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and relationship issues. I am committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where clients can explore their challenges, develop healthy coping skills, and achieve meaningful growth.
Adolescence and adulthood can be exciting and overwhelming. Navigating academic pressures, identity exploration, relationship challenges, or major life transitions can be daunting to tackle on your own. I specialize in supporting adolescents, young adults, and their families as they face anxiety, depression, trauma, identity concerns, and the stress of achievement and belonging. My experience working as an assistant dean of admission at Princeton University, coupled with my counseling experience at Princeton’s counseling and psychological center, and working in an independent K-12 school, has informed my deep understanding of the pressures students and families face in academic, social, and developmental spaces. In therapy, we’ll explore moments of vulnerability and discomfort that can contribute to self-doubt and isolation. I work collaboratively with individuals and families to uncover ways to strengthen communication and bring clarity to relational dynamics. My goal is to create an affirming space rooted in empathy and cultural humility, where you develop tools towards empowerment and rediscover your authentic self. I take an integrative and trauma-informed approach, grounded in person-centered, culturally responsive, and strength-based care. I draw from CBT with a multicultural and feminist lens, working with individuals from diverse backgrounds who may be navigating their gender and sexuality, cultural, and intersectional identities. Whether you're exploring therapy for the first time or continuing your journey, I am committed to making mental health care approachable and welcoming for everyone.

College is hard enough already - you don't need to let past experiences make it even harder. If you can't stop thinking about certain memories, or people, or pain that you have suffered, you might be burdened by trauma. You might also feel unsafe in particular places, or even in your own body. Feeling this way on a day to day basis is exhausting. Know that you can heal from the discomfort that you are experiencing right now. We can work together to help you feel more at ease on a day-to-day basis. Then, when you're ready, we can dive a little deeper into understanding what happened to you. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey of growth, healing, and self-love. With seven years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I work with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults, helping people navigate life transitions, behavioral challenges, anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, self-esteem concerns, attachment issues, and relationship difficulties. My goal is to meet you where you are. Whether you're carrying something heavy or simply searching for a clearer path forward, I'm committed to creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, seen, supported, and understood. When you feel that kind of safety, meaningful growth becomes possible — and that's what we'll work toward together: healing, resilience, and the life you envision for yourself. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to support you as we work together toward your goals. In our sessions, you can expect a nonjudgmental space where you feel empowered to share your experiences, explore challenges, build on your strengths, and create meaningful growth and change. Because every person's journey is unique, I tailor treatment to your individual needs and goals. My warm, empathetic approach may draw on person-centered therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), alongside other evidence-based interventions, to provide care that is personalized, collaborative, and genuinely responsive to your experiences. My path to becoming a therapist began with a genuine desire to understand people and how our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors shape the lives we live. That curiosity led me toward direct work with families, children, adolescents, and young adults in crisis, experiences that deepened my commitment to trauma-informed, individualized care. Working alongside people in some of their most difficult moments strengthened my ability to show up with compassion, empathy, and understanding, in an environment where people feel genuinely supported. I love playing softball and catching baseball games whenever I can. When I'm not on the field or in the stands, I enjoy watching movies and TV, traveling, and spending time with the friends, family, and loved ones who matter most to me.
Our NYC-based practice specializes in anxiety and OCD treatment for college students and young adults. Many of the students we work with are high achievers who are used to pushing through, but are finding that anxiety, overthinking, or burnout are becoming harder to manage. This often shows up as getting stuck in your head, feeling overwhelmed by academic or social pressure, or getting caught in patterns of procrastination, perfectionism, or avoidance. For some, OCD or panic are a big part of the picture. College also brings a new level of independence, and managing academics, friendships, and daily life on your own can make these patterns feel more intense. Our approach is warm, structured, and grounded, focused on helping you understand what’s keeping you stuck, build practical skills, and feel more confident navigating this stage of life.

There are times when we ask ourselves questions we feel we have no answers to: "Why am I not happy?", "How do I improve my life?" and "Will I ever find a solution to this problem that is consistent and stressful?". Have hope! The answers are there inside of you, waiting to be discovered. I strive to support my clients without judgement, challenging those who are ready to explore themes of personal responsibility, meaning, and resolution. Through genuine client/therapist interactions, the emotional impact of trauma, loss, depression, and/or anxiety can be relieved, and answers found. I have a wide range of experience in helping those who may be suffering from anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions. Working with older adolescents to older adults, I find that combining a person-centered therapy model with CBT, Gestalt, and Mindfulness interventions can be especially helpful. It is my belief that therapy should be an experience of thoughtfulness, reflection and discovery. In-the-moment therapeutic experiments, music therapy, and artistic mindfulness are all tools that can be used to stir the creative process towards finding the answers one is looking for, and the journey thereafter.
I offer sessions that are client focused and curious. In our sessions, we co-create a space with compassion, creativity and humor to foster an environment where you can feel both safe and challenged to grow. I practice with a psychodynamic relational approach that is trauma-informed and socially aware of power and privilege, critical of psychological paradigms that pathologize suffering. I specialize in working with queer and trans clients with a particular focus on trauma, dissociation, and grief. I ground my work in an anti-oppressive and queer-affirming approach that acknowledges the many experiences we bring on both an individual and societal level.

We are trying to reintegrate in our own way, and it is not easy. Taking good care of our emotional well being is a priority in my eyes. Are you motivated to change and grow? If you need the best person to help you reach your goals? I practice what I preach. “See me”and “hear me”. “Make it safe”. Often this is the beginning of what is missing in relationships. It's hard to ask for help. Being in a relationship is tricky. I appreciate people who are brave to say: "I need help with my life.", "I want to change my life.", & "I am unhappy.". I can help transform your hopes into action. You CAN change your life....if you have the will and desire to do so.

Therapy is a place to talk to someone outside of your every day life. It's a place to gain insight into what is going on within yourself, and to learn more about your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. You may begin therapy due to a serious life event, or simply to improve your mood, your lifestyle, or your relationships. I will ask questions and offer feedback to help you look at your problems differently, to make more sense of what's going on in your life, and to unravel difficult issues. We will work together as you decide what changes you may want to begin to make. In addition to working with individuals, I also work with couples. Some couples are early in their relationships and want to make sure they are on the right track. Others have been together longer and want less distressing and hurtful interactions, and instead want positive ways of communicating and connecting with each other. As we work in couples therapy, you will better understand what each person is contributing to the relationship, and you will both learn new skills so that you can better manage your differences, resolve conflicts, and build a stronger and more satisfying relationship. I also offer a 3 hour, premarital/early relationship course. Couples may choose to do this to assess their relationship strengths, and to get learn areas of their relationship that can use some focused work. This course is very helpful to help couples to prevent and change negative patterns from developing, and to learn some very important relationship building skills.
You may be overwhelmed by life’s pressures and need help figuring out what’s really going on. Or you may feel stuck in unhealthy patterns, addictions, interpersonal conflicts, or cycles of anger and frustration, and not know how to change. You may be depressed, carrying psychic anguish and low motivation, or unable to move on from past trauma. Or you may feel moments of intense shame, rejection sensitivity, or self-consciousness, and want to finally talk about it and try to heal and move on. If you want to get to the bottom of your emotional distress, interpersonal difficulties, or sense of stuckness, I would love to work with you. Many people come to me after feeling frustrated with therapy that stayed too surface-level, or where the therapist mostly listened without helping them understand their inner world. If you’re looking for therapy that goes deeper and offers reflection, feedback, and guidance, I invite you to reach out and schedule an initial consultation or first session. I approach each therapy as unique and individual, so that I can tailor my approach to you. I work with young adults and and teens navigating anxiety, shame, depression, identity questions, relationship conflict, compulsive/addictive behaviors, emotional numbness, and stuckness. I reply to all messages within one business day, and invite all inquiries.
