Starting therapy can be a challenging process. I aim to create a therapeutic space where you can approach whatever barriers you may be facing with curiosity and safety in knowing you will not be judged. I specialize in therapy with young/emerging adults and college students experiencing a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, OCD, emotion regulation problems, academic/work stress, relationship challenges, and identity concerns. I have additional expertise in working with family members of individuals with serious mental illness, as well as people who identify as LGBTQIA+. My approach is integrative, primarily grounded in cognitive behavioral theory and supplemented with psychodynamic and relational techniques. I have received training in a variety of evidence-based approaches including DBT, ERP/ExRP, and CBT for psychosis. Our work together will be collaborative, flexible, and goal-oriented. While it can be hard to take the leap, starting therapy can help put you on the path to the life you want to be living. If you think I may be a good fit for the work you are ready to start, please contact me to schedule a free consultation.

Healing is rarely a straight path, and having the right support can make all the difference. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, my work centers on helping children, adolescents, and adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or struggling to put your feelings into words, you don't have to figure it out alone. For younger patients, those challenges often show up through behavior or difficulty managing emotions, and that's where play therapy can be a powerful tool for expression and growth. For patients of all ages, the goal is the same: to help you better understand yourself, build healthier coping skills, and improve how you feel day to day and in your relationships. My commitment is to meet you exactly where you are. As a supportive and collaborative partner in your healing journey, I look forward to helping you or your child build resilience, gain insight, and create positive, lasting change. Compassionate, collaborative, and goal-oriented care is at the heart of every session. Creating a space where you feel genuinely safe, heard, and free from judgment is something I'm deeply passionate about, because real growth starts when you feel truly supported. Sessions are shaped by your unique needs, experiences, and goals. Using evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and play therapy techniques, we'll work together to process emotions, develop effective coping strategies, and foster lasting well-being. My style is warm and engaging, and each session is thoughtfully tailored to honor the developmental and emotional needs of every person I work with. My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by a deep and genuine desire to help others feel understood and supported during some of life's most difficult moments. Through clinical work with children and individuals navigating trauma, that commitment has only grown stronger. Every session, I bring empathy, patience, and authenticity into the room. These qualities aren't just professional values; they're the foundation of the meaningful therapeutic connections I strive to build with each person I have the privilege of working with. When I’m not working, I value time with family and friends. I also enjoy music, traveling, and being in nature, as these experiences help me recharge and bring balance to my life.

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. As a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. My work is grounded in a humanistic perspective and informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), helping you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and the patterns that shape your life. I work with teens and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, family conflict, life transitions, and low self-esteem. Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed by the expectations they place on themselves, struggle to set healthy boundaries, or find themselves stuck in relationship patterns that leave them feeling emotionally drained. My goal is to help you discover your strengths, develop effective strategies, and take real steps toward a happier, healthier version of yourself. I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely heard and accepted. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs and goals. Drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), humanistic therapy, and strengths-based approaches, we’ll work together to better understand your emotions, build healthier relationships, strengthen self-confidence, and develop practical tools to help you navigate everyday challenges. Whether you’re processing difficult experiences, working through anxiety, improving communication, or simply trying to reconnect with yourself, my goal is to help you feel supported every step of the way. My passion for therapy grew from my own experiences navigating relationships, personal growth, and the unique challenges of growing up as a first-generation American. Those experiences taught me how important it is to feel understood and supported, especially during life’s most difficult moments. They continue to shape the empathy and curiosity I bring into each session. I believe therapy is about creating a space where you can better understand yourself, build on your strengths, and make changes that feel authentic and lasting. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy staying active through weightlifting, having previously trained in powerlifting. I also enjoy crocheting and making handmade items like beanies, scarves, and clothing, which gives me a creative outlet and helps me recharge. When I’m not crafting or at the gym, you’ll often find me at live music events, especially rock concerts and Spanish alternative shows.

As a licensed mental health counselor with eight years of experience, I specialize in emotion regulation and interpersonal challenges for children, adolescents, and adults. Whether you're struggling to name what you're feeling, finding it hard to communicate your emotions to the people around you, or simply looking for steadier ground, I'm here to help you work through it. Authenticity and tactfulness aren't opposites to me; they're the combination that makes real therapeutic work possible. You can expect me to be warm and supportive, and also direct. Together, we'll get to what matters. Authenticity is at the core of how I work. Using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), integrative, and person-centered techniques, I create a warm, safe, and supportive space where you can be straightforward about what you're struggling with and express your emotions in a healthy way — because that honesty is where real progress begins. From there, we work together to identify and address any parts of your stressors that are within your power to change and what may need to be accepted. Every person communicates and connects differently, so I tailor my approach to fit your unique needs, ensuring our work together feels relevant, grounded, and genuinely yours. My own experiences in therapy as a teenager sparked an early curiosity about psychology, one that I've been following ever since. That lived experience shaped my deep commitment to creating a warm, authentic space where patients feel genuinely seen and supported. I bring that history and intention into my work, staying mindful of how my own perspective informs my approach and ensuring it best serves you in every session we share. When I'm not in session, you'll find me hiking, painting, or singing. I have a wide-ranging taste in music and a genuine love for live performance art. These creative and outdoor pursuits keep me connected to the kind of presence and expression I also value in my work with you.

If you have ever walked into a room and wondered whether the space was really built for you, that feeling makes sense and you are in the right place. A lot of students who come to us have been carrying a lot. The pressure to hold it together for your family. The feeling of being between two worlds and fully belonging to neither. Anxiety that shows up as perfectionism, people-pleasing, or just never feeling like enough. Postpartum stress if you are a student who is also a new parent. Grief, identity questions, faith-related struggles that you have never said out loud to a therapist because you were not sure they would understand. At New York Multicultural Counseling, you do not have to explain your culture before we can get to work. We are a culturally responsive practice that specializes in care for AMEMSA and BIPOC communities. That means Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim, South Asian, and Black and brown clients who are tired of being the first person in the room to educate everyone else about their own life. We work with adults 18 and older. Sessions are available virtually across New York and in person in Manhasset, NY. We accept multiple insurance plans and verify your benefits before your first session so there are no surprises. If any of this sounds like what you have been looking for, book a free 20-minute consultation. No commitment. Just a conversation. Book here: https://nymulticounseling.sessionshealth.com/request

The transition into adulthood is exciting, challenging, and stressful. Nobody knows what the future holds, but now you have to figure out who you are, who you want to be, what you want to do, and how you are going to do it. That's hard enough to do when everything is going well, but it can be too much if you're also dealing with excessive anxiety, negative self esteem, low motivation, or lack of social support. You do not have to be your own worst enemy. You do not have to do it alone.

As a licensed mental health counselor with 10 years of experience, I help adults navigate symptoms and daily stressors brought on by familial and relationship issues, work/school stress, identity and acceptance, and phase-of-life issues. My dedication to culturally competent care helps you work through barriers to achieving your goals in an empowering manner. I believe in the power of presence in one's life. If you are motivated to undercover patterns that are detrimental to you, the origins of these patterns, and how to work through breaking cycles that are not contributing to a healthy quality of life, please reach out today. I’m here to help in every way I can and look forward to supporting you through your goals. It’s important to me that you feel cared for in our sessions, while also being challenged in ways that will help you to succeed. That’s why I take a warm, collaborative, and respectful approach to care, creating a welcoming and friendly environment where you can be fully transparent and feel understood, free from judgement. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, person-centered, motivational interviewing, Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy methods to help you gain insight in your daily life and learn to implement tools that will provide relief from stressors. My desire to become a therapist stemmed from seeing a need in my community and finding a deep misunderstanding of mental health, along with a resistance to services that could provide solace. As a woman of color, I grew up around certain stigmas toward mental health and wanted to contribute to helping those from all backgrounds feel understood. Later, in college, I had a positive experience with counseling that really solidified my mission of bringing care to others. Altogether, these experiences showed the value of providing a space where every patient feels seen and empowered, where they have autonomy and are encouraged to be the best version of themselves – a space I am dedicated to providing in every session in my practice now. In my free time, I enjoy reading, jigsaw puzzles, trying new recipes, and working out.

Finding the right support is the first step toward feeling like yourself again. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner with 11 years of nursing experience, my work centers on helping adults and adolescents navigate anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and the weight of life's most demanding transitions. Whether you're struggling with emotional burnout, chronic stress, or an overwhelming sense of uncertainty, you don't have to find your way through it alone. My goal is to be a trusted and compassionate partner throughout your journey, offering a safe environment where healing is not only possible, but within reach. Together, we'll work toward clarity, relief, and lasting emotional well-being. Compassionate, personalized, and nonjudgmental care is at the heart of everything I do. Creating a space where you can slow down, feel genuinely supported, and begin to reclaim a sense of balance and control is something I'm deeply committed to. Our work together will be collaborative by design. Using evidence-based medication management alongside supportive therapy techniques, I tailor my approach to your unique needs and goals, because no two people experience mental health the same way. You can expect sessions that feel steady and respectful, where your voice shapes the direction of your care and progress feels attainable. My path to psychiatric care was shaped by a deep curiosity about how mental health influences every dimension of our lives. Early on, I witnessed how often people carry their struggles in silence, and how profoundly transformative the right support can be. Those experiences lit a fire in me and deepened my commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered, stigma-free care. To every session, I bring a calm, empathetic presence paired with genuine curiosity and a dedication to truly listening. Understanding your experience fully is the foundation from which meaningful, lasting care is built. Outside of my professional role, I enjoy playing pickleball, staying active, and spending time outdoors, as well as connecting with friends and family. Prioritizing balance in my own life helps me bring a grounded and mindful presence to my work with patients.

As a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), my work is rooted in a simple but deeply held belief: every person deserves a space where they feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, stress, or a significant life transition, or simply taking steps toward personal growth, I'm here to walk alongside you. Working with children, adolescents, and adults from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, my approach is grounded in the power of human resilience. Together, we explore patterns, build greater self-understanding, and move toward meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to help you discover your strengths, develop effective strategies, and take real steps toward a happier, healthier version of yourself. A patient-centered approach is at the heart of everything I do. This means encouraging you to take an active role in shaping your therapeutic space and identifying goals that feel meaningful and relevant to your life. From there, we build on your existing strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward your personal goals with confidence and resilience. My style is adaptable by design, ensuring you feel understood, supported, and empowered in a way that honors your unique personality and needs. For younger patients and those who may not yet have the words to express what they're feeling, I draw on play therapy and expressive arts therapy to create room for communication and processing that feels natural and comfortable. For older adolescents and adults, I integrate Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness techniques into a flexible, personalized approach. Through my own experiences of learning to find my voice, build confidence, and advocate for myself, I came to understand firsthand how transformative it can be to feel truly seen and supported. That foundation shapes everything about how I show up for patients today. To every session, I bring empathy, genuine curiosity, and a deep belief in each person's unique capacity to heal, adapt, and grow. You won't find a one-size-fits-all approach here. What you will find is a therapist who is fully invested in you and committed to creating an environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to do the work that matters most. When I'm not in the therapy room, you can find me reading, working through the New York Times games, or spending time with friends and family. Music is a big part of my life, whether that means discovering new artists, catching live concerts, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Diagnostic Privilege (LMHC-D) and six years of experience, I specialize in anxiety, depression, mood disorders, life transitions, sports and performance, personal growth, self-esteem, trauma, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and substance misuse. I work with adolescents, teens, and young adults navigating mental health concerns and the challenges that come with this season of life. No matter your struggles, I believe in creating a safe, collaborative, and nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship, one grounded in the recognition that every person carries their own unique strengths and capacity for growth. That belief shapes how I show up for you: as a compassionate, empowering, and supportive partner. Together, we'll build confidence and resilience, achieve meaningful goals, and develop the skills you need to cultivate greater well-being and fulfillment, both personally and professionally. My approach is patient-centered, collaborative, and authentically tailored to you. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and strength-based therapy to create a space where you can explore challenges, recognize your inherent strengths, enhance self-awareness, and build the resilience needed for meaningful, lasting change. Every person I work with brings their own unique needs, experiences, and goals — and the direction of our work reflects that. Whether you're working toward personal, academic, professional, or performance goals, I tailor my style accordingly, in a safe and empowering environment grounded in a genuine belief in your ability to grow. My path to becoming a therapist began with my own experience in therapy during high school, when I had an incredible therapist who helped me grow, develop greater self-awareness, and navigate challenges. The impact of that work rippled across many areas of my life. Through those personal experiences, and through watching the effect mental health had on friends and family members, I came to understand how truly transformative therapy can be. That understanding deepened my commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care that empowers individuals to overcome obstacles, build resilience, and create meaningful change. Now, I bring authenticity, empathy, and a genuine belief in each person's capacity for growth to every session. When I'm not in session, I enjoy reading, baking, crafting, and cooking. I also love going to concerts and sporting events, traveling, and spending time with friends, family, and my niece and nephew.
